The people are upset that the National Enquirer has published a photo of Whitney Houston in an open coffin on the cover of this week’s issue. The caption reads ‘Whitney: The Last Photo.’

The cover photo shows Whitney lying in a gold coffin, wearing her favorite purple dress, gold slippers, and diamond broach and earrings. She was reportedly wearing 500,000 worth of jewelery.

The photo was supposedly taken at Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, New Jersey. According to the Huffington Post, members of Houston’s family held a private wake at the funeral home last Friday. On Saturday, over 1,000 friends and relatives, including Aretha Franklin, Oprah Winfrey and Mariah Carey, showed their condolences.

L.O.B got in touch with Carolyn Whigham, the owner of Whigham Funeral Home. She said that, “she nor her staff took any photos and it must’ve been someone that the family trusted to come to the viewing,” then went on saying “her staff is professional and she would never disrespect Whitney like that.” She also revealed that, she called Cissy Houston to tell her that the photos were in the paper.

The tragic lost of a “ultimate legend, ultimate woman”, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé remembers the woman who helped open doors for singers like herself. The singer released the following statement on her site BeyonceOnline.

“The loss of Whitney Houston is painful. I remember meeting Whitney for the first time when I was 15. She was the ultimate legend. The ultimate woman. Not only was she confident, poised, stunningly beautiful and intelligent, but she was sincere and kind. She took the time to make everyone feel like they were very important to her. I, like every singer, always wanted to be just like her. Her voice was perfect. Strong but soothing. Soulful and classic. Her vibrato, her cadence, her control. So many of my life’s memories are attached to a Whitney Houston song. She is our queen and she opened doors and provided a blueprint for all of us.

Beyonce got to perform with Whitney in 2003 when they sang with at the VH1 Diva Duets alongside Mary J. Blige and Jewel. The singer is also said to take the stage tonight on the 2012 Grammy Awards, to pay tribute to the late Whitney Houston.

Whitney Houston‘s 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Krisitna was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

According to our sources … Bobbi was taken out of the Beverly Hilton, where Whitney died yesterday, on a stretcher.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ police and fire responded to a call for a medical emergency, but would not confirm who was transported.
As TMZ first reported, Bobbi Kristina got into an angry shouting match last night with police officers outside the hotel room where her mother was found dead
Bobbi Christina is Whitney’s only child from husband Bobby Brown. Houston and Brown were married in 1992 and divorced in 2007.

American legendary singer and actress Whitney Houston has died at the age of 48, per reports from her publicist Kristen Foster. The cause of death were unclear, Foster told the Associated Press news agency on Saturday (February 11) that the singer had died. TMZ reports she  was pronounced died at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills at 3:55 p.m. PST.

The star was seen just days ago, with Monica and Brandy at rehearsals for Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party.
